Q

What 3 arguments by Karl Rahner in favour for Inclusivism?

A

1 - some people are “anonymous Christian’s” - doing Christs work without realising it. E.g. langar is a term in Sikhism for the community kitchen in a Gurdwara where free meals are served to visitors.

2 - there are many partial truths in other religions similar to Christianity (Islam is monotheistic)

3 - some people are not Christian Becuase the gospel has not reached them. (Romans - how can some hear unless they are preached to)

Q

3 Arguments against Inclusivism?

A

1 - the Bible says is acts 4:12 that there is salvation in no other

2 - it patronises other faiths - why could a Christian not be an anonymous Hindu?

3 - it is no different from universal exclusivism Becuase non-Christian religions remain inferior to Christian ones
