Five major functions that are part of the ICS
command, operations, planning, Logistics, financial/administration
an example of a single resource would be an
engine company or a ladder company
single resources can be combined into
strike teams or task forces
other organizational units that can be established under ICS include

the organizational level having functional, geographical, or jurisdiction responsibility for major aspects of incident operations
branch
a person ina supervisory level position in either the operations or logistics function to provide a span of control

the first component of the ICS.

the public info officer, and liaison officer, all of whom report directly to the incident commander
command staff
a team of two or more firefighters
crew
assigned locations where specific functions are always performed
designated incident locations
a supervisory level established to an incident into geographical areas of operations at an incident
division
a person ina supervisory- level position who is responsible for a specific geographical area of operations at an incident
division supervisor
section responsible for all costs and financial actions
finance/ administrations section
an incident management system developed in the 1970s for day to day fire dept incidents
fire-ground command (FCG)
fire resource of California organized for potential emergencies
