Catholics believe that every human being is made imago dei, in the image of the God. Catholics believe every human has dignity and a worth which can never be taken away. Meaning innocent human beings must never be deliberately harmed or killed.

Moment of conception, a new human being begins to exist and therefore killing it is wrong.
Conception is the only obvious place to point to as the beginning of a new person because this is the first time a new and unique life begins to exist.
Since a zygote is at least one human life, deliberately killing it is always a kind of murder

Zygote is only one cell big. It doesn’t have human features, it cannot think or feel. Killing it is no more significant than cutting of a fingernail.
Calling abortion ‘murder’ is unhelpful language because many women who have abortions do it only after a lot of thought and often reluctantly. Especially if they were raped

Killing a human being is not like cutting a fingernail since the zygote is new and unique human life.
Rape is one of the most serious sins but it is wrong to respond to one serious sin by committing another. Aborting an innocent baby who bares no responsibility for the crime against it’s mother denies someone their right of life

Teaching of adultery - anyone who looks at someone lustfully has already committed adultery
Teachings about revenge and enemy - love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you
Teachings about anger - anyone who commits murder in their minds has already committed murder, do not allow dispute to fill your thoughts, seek peace.
Teaching about charity - when you give to charity do it in secret so your right hand does not know what the other is doing
