FTP
Makes it possible for users to exchange files between their personal computers and remote servers
SSH

Telnet
With Telnet, you log on as a regular user with whatever privileges you may have been granted to the specific application and data on that computer.

Is a mail protocol used for accessing email on a remote web server from a local client.

SLP provides a way for clients to dynamically discover network services.

This is the default used for SSL connections such as when you loin into a secure site to make a purchase

SMB is a message-based protocol developed by icrosoft, Intel, and IBM. SMB is best known as the basis for icrosoft’s file and printer sharing
AFP
Proprietary network used by apple products
RDP
Default port used by Windows XP Remote Desktop Connection and Microsoft Terminal Server for Remote Desktop Connections and/or Terminal Services sessions.
