Strawberry
Raspberry
Blackberry
Gooseberry
A hallmark of the gooseberry clan is that they almost always have thorns all over them, on the branches and even sometimes the berries themselves.
Then there is the leaf. The maple-like leaves of gooseberries and their cousins the currants are very similar across all species.
Blackcurrant
Leaves when crushed smell distinctly like the fruit.
Redcurrant

The petiole is bright red.
Medlar
Quince
They showed us this Dwarf Quince. We don’t need to know the name Chaenomeles superba Salmon Horizon Quince. In case you want to look it up.. Fruit will be yellow when ripe
Ugni
Cobnut. It is a larger Hazelnut
Mulberry
Leaves are about 8 cm long, coarse veins on the back of the leaf, heart /fleur de lis shape, with toothed edges. Can be hairy on top and downy underneath. Some lower leaves and those on new shoots can be lobed, or with deep incisions. There can be several different leaf forms on a single tree.
Fruit looks a bit like a large blackberry or loganberry. These “berries” are really drupes, consisting of a cluster of tiny fruits, each with a seed. Starts green, then turns pink and dark purple when ripe (July-September in Britain). Delicious, sweet/sour, very juicy and stains fingers and clothes!
Mulberry
Fig tree. Beautiful large dark green leaves with yellow veins with long petiole.
