Recurrent herpetic infection/secondary herpes simplex

bound-down/masticatory tissue (hard palate/gingiva/lip) = recurrent/secondary herpes

moveable/nonmasticatory tissue (cheeks, floor of mouth, soft palate) = reccurent aphthous stomatitis

primary herpes is masticatory and nonmasticatory
