It reflects badly on an enterprise and will see a rise in food-borne illnesses, customer dissatisfaction and a loss of reputation and business.
What are the consequences of poor hygiene on customers?
- More likely to contract food borne illness– which can result in physical discomfort and possible complications.
- May have to take time off work and incur medical costs.
-In severe cases can lead to death.

-Can have the ability to create absenteeism, reduce staff morale and see an increased turnover of staff.
-Reduced workload for staff and subsequent reduction in wages- due to potential involuntary cessation of business.
