When to initiate implant?

A

Can be put in at any time, but need to make sure patient is not pregnant.
Works immediately if within first 5 days of cycle, otherwise use condom for 7 days.

Can be put in within first 21 days postpartum - otherwise condom for 7 days.
Safe in breastfeeding
