The imperative tense is used to give commands, make requests, or give in imitations. For Tú it differs when the command is affirmative or negative

  • Tell me
  • Come here
  • Do not let him inside

Key Points to Remember:
* Affirmative tú commands often take the third person singular present indicative form.
* Negative tú commands use the second person singular present subjunctive form.
* él, Nosotros, and Ellos commands are based on the present subjunctive forms for both affirmative and negative commands.
