Cause: britain and India had a joint company Britain took over India for its resources and land and took control of its economy and company. India was profitable and Britain exploited it. Christian missionaries also began to show up leading to tension

Cause- African territories were unclaimed and people noticed the materials it held and the European powers made a meeting to claim a territory of Africa, called the scramble for Africa.

Complaints were filed, and famous people came to report on it
Many people in the Congo died
Congo became a Belgian colony
Protest were made, public outrage and many died from the brutal treatment from Europeans
