Protects the data of individuals that is stored on a computer

Data must be accurate and up to date, only used for specific reasons, data must be relevant and must be stored securely
What are the principles of the Computer Misuse act
No unauthorised access of data, no access of data for illegal activities and no modification to data
What is the purpose and actions of the Copy, designs and patents act
A criminal offence to copy work that is not your own without permission.
- Making copies of material
- Importing illegally copied material
- Possessing equipment used to copy material
What are the differences between Open-Source and Proprietary
Open source: View and modify code (python, firefox)
Proprietary: Code is restricted (fortnite)
