- Radio communication allowed rapid signals and advances, meaning an army could coordinate movements more effectively.

How did bombers end the stalemate in 1943-45

A
  • Inflicted mass civilian casualties e.g.400,000 germans killed.
  • Bombing tied up military assets, countries had to use a lot of recourses to defend cities from bombings. Germany used 2 million people to defend cities.
  • Destroyed economic assets like factories, docks and railways, meant less ability to make and move key weapons.
  • A bomb could destroy cities with one bomb.
