Did the Conservatives and Labour benefit from the First World War
The Conservatives had been revived because they now had influence in government. This was much important in their recovery after the Liberal Party’s domination of the political scene which had started in the 1906 landslide election. Labour also benefited in that they had proven themselves capable in government as well as the experience they gained.
