A lack of hydration can cause muscle strains or tears, and a lack of nutrition can cause loss of muscle mass and injury
how can weight influence the risk of injury
Someone who is a overweight can sustain more falls more easily causing a serious injury
How can gender influence the risk of injury?
men or women or women are more susceptible to lower body injuries
How can age influence the risk of injury?
The younger you are the faster, you will be able to recover or the older you get the more flexibility strength you will lose

What are the components of psychological factors
Motivation, arousal, anxiety/stress, confidence, aggression
What types of aggression are there?
Direct aggression, channelled aggression, reasons for aggression
What is direct aggression?
Is an intentional act of Foul Play to injure the player, or when you go out of your way to hurt someone
What is channelled aggression?
A forceful act within the rules of the game, but with a secondary aim of injuring a player
how can confidence influence the risk of injury?
Being overconfident and cause you think you can do everything which could make you lose focus and hurt yourself others
How can anxiety/stress influence the risk of injury?
By feeling anxious or stressed can cause you to stop concentrating, which could lead you to miss the ball or injuring yourself
How can arousal influence the risk of injury?
For example by being overalls in a rugby match and caused you to make a bad tackle, which will result in injuring yourself or the opponent
How can motivation influence the risk of injury?
Being over, motivated, may result in football player, performing a reckless challenge. A result of this they could injure themselves or their opponent.
