What is auto inflammation?

A

A single gene defect of the immune system leads to hyper activation and immune deficiency.

How is allergy caused?

A

Allergy is caused by immune system recognising common elements in the environment. E.g. house dust, pollen, fever
Hyper reaction in the skin is not life threatening but in the lungs the airways become narrowed which is life threatening.

What is autoimmunity?

A

Autoimmunity is a disease that is directed at your own immune.

What is overreacting immunity?

A

The rejection of foreign tissue- transplant.
The immune response will reject to transplants because the new organ is not genetically identical to the old one. It will try to kill it because it will think it’s a microbe.

Why can the immune response fail?

A

Because of primary immune deficiency, genetic or infection induced deficiency or drug induced deficiency.

What is drug induced deficiency?

A

Drug induced deficiency is when a doctor prescribes a patient with a medicine but this medicine has really bad side effects.
