Q

What is the impact of indiscriminate testing on the patient?

A

May lead to FP’s, which add stress, anxiety and risk to the patient.

  • Leads to unnecessary tests and inappropriate treatment.
  • Causes a delay in obtaining the correct diagnosis.

Also delays results for other patients and increases cost for hospital and patient.
