What is naturally acquired immunity?
A
Passive - antibodies are passed to a foetus by the placenta/breast feeding.
Active - body produces antibodies and specialised lymphocytes in response to a microbe causing disease.

What is artificially acquired immunity?
A
Passive - PREMADE antibodies in an IMMUNE SERUM are injected into the body (no memory cells)
Active - antigens (dead/weakened) introduced in vaccines.

What is herd immunity ?
A
When enough people have been vaccinated so transmission of the disease is unlikely - most of the population needs to be vaccinated.
