Q

Humoral Immunity

A

The production of an antibody in response to an antigen. You come in contact with someone who is carrying an antigen, and it is passed on to you. It enters your body, you get sick. Your body creates an antibody to fight the disease, and you will not get the disease again.

Secondary Response

A

If the antigen enters your body a second time the fast response from your body thanks to your stored memory cells allows the animal to fight the disease without actively getting the symptoms.

Q

Active Immunity

A

This is developed by the use of a vaccination. The body is exposed to an altered version of the antigen, causing your body to create an antibody. The animal will not actively get the disease.
