How is Canada’s immigration policy different from the past
In the 1900s the government had placed limits based on different ethnic and religious groups that could enter Canada.
Now there is no discrimination regarding ethnicity and religion
How do Canada’s refugee and immigration policy’s affect the rest of the world
Canada will take in more or less immigrants depending on what is happening in the world around us like if there war we would take in more immigrants from that country
How are provinces able to influence immigration policy’s
Provinces are able to do this through the provincial nomination program.
What is the provincial nominee program
the provincial nominee program is if a province is in need of certain jobs and and an immigrant or refugee has that experience, the province can nominate them to come and live there and work that job.
How is the process of immigration policy in Quebec and attempt to strengthen the French language
Quebec’s first language is French so typically you need to be more efficient In French
How does the point system work
You need to get 67 points to be eligible for permanent residency
