Loss of left heart lobe -> left lingula consolidation
What does this image show?
Right Lung collapse - trachea deviated towards the collapse
In x-rays when is the lung deviated towards / away from affected size?
Trachea is always pulled towards to the side of less pressure thus:
Towards in: pneumonectomy, lung collapse, lung hypoplasia
Away from in: tension pneumothorax, massive pleural effusion
What does this X-ray show?
erect CXR w/ visible air under diaphragm on both sides suggestive of pneumoperitoneum -> secondary to bowel perforation
