Pain and stiffness in morning for >1hour

Definition of ankylosing spondylitis
- autoimmune
- no RF
- affects vertebral discs and facet joints
Etiology of Ankolysing spondylitis
HLA B27 gene
Joints replaced with fibrin that causes ossification of spinal cord - syndesmophytes
Can lead to anterior uteris, entheris, aortic regurgitation
Symptoms of ankylysing spondylitis
WL, fever, malaise
Bum and joint pain
SOB
Diagnosis of ankylosising spondylitis
MRI
X ray shows bamboo spine
