What would you do for CPR in children, and how the technique is adapted?
Lower energy selection for defibrillator (4j/kg) Paddle placement (front and back) Maintain effective CPR (5 rescue breaths, 15:2, 3:1)
CPR in presence of a pacemaker?
Pad position changes to front and back- avoid pacemaker
Conditions unequivocally associated with death?
Decapitation Decomposition Incineration Foetal masceration Mass cranial damage Rigor mortis Hypostasis Hemicorporectomy
Changes for paediatric life support?
Neonate- 3:1, encircling method
Infant <1- 15:2, 2 fingers, 5 rescue breaths, <60bpm CC, brachial pulse
Child >1 15:2, one hand, 5 rescue breaths, <60bpm CC
