What is the purpose of a JHA?
To identify the sequence of a task, the hazards associated with it and the mitigations necessary to keep workers safe and healthy.
When is a JHA not required?
When performing routine low risk tasks that have a Standard Procedure (SP).
Who should draft a JHA?
It is a collaborative effort between all affected employees.
The emergency contingency plan is located in which section of Hazard assessment and mitigation?
Section C.
When may a JHA be extended beyond a day?
When the scope of work has not changed and everyone has re-signed the JHA.
