What is the users responsibility?
Protecting their own individual account credentials so that they can authenticate and use the account
PKI
Public Key Infrastructure - allows the management of digital identities where a Certificate authority is used
CA
Certificate Authority - issues certificates to validate subjects (servers and users) The subject identify can be trusted by any third party that trusts CA
What is the network administrators responsibility?
Ensure the integrity of the server hosting the account
Domain validation certificate
Encrypt communication to the webserver, the owner has domain over the website . Its the lock in the URL, to signify it’s secure.
Extended Validation Certificate
Additional checks that have been done by the CA, Verifies the owners identity and costs extra money ( promotes SSL)
SAN - Subject Alternative Name
A single certificate can support connectivity many different domain names - Lists additional information
Wild Domain
Certificates are based on the name of the server
* = many host names associated with DNS
Code signing certificate
Used when distributing software, dev will sign that software and validates on instillation that software has not changed. User will have the option to stop the instillation and investigate
Class A fires

Flammable gasses or liquid
use a dry chemical or CO02 fire extigisher
Class C fire
Electrical Fire, extingusish with a CO2 or blue circle extinguisher
Class D fire
compustible metals, i.e. laptop with lithium batteriers
Yellow fire extinguisher
Class K fire
cooking oil, black hexagon fire extinugisher
CO2
CO2 fire extinuisher is used for BC fires
