modernism

A

the same as liberalism, but with Darwinism and immanentism added. Darwinism says that religion is constantly evolving, and so it must adapt to its new social environment (liberalism) if it is to survive. Immanentism is the philosophy which says that religion comes from man, not from God (see below).
