What are the main claims of idealism?
A
We directly perceive only ideas but we directly perceive physical objects therefore the physical world is composed of ideas. Therefore, there is no external world.

Q
What is Berkeley’s Master Argument?
A
You cannot even conceive of something unperceived. To think of something is to think of it being perceived. Every thought is of an idea and therefore, we cannot think of anything. However, the external world is by definition not an idea. So it cannot exist.
