Eft can be integrated with accounting systems so less staff is needed
Disadvantages of EFT (CUSTOMER)
Customers may make impulse purchases that they will regret
Danger of credit information being stolen
Tendency to spend too much
Not everyone has a computer
Erosion of privacy
Disadvantages of EFT (STORE)
Expensive to set up a payment system
Security measure must be made
Stores pay commission to the company being used to make the payment.

Advantages of a barcode
Fast scanning
More accurate than typing long codes
Disadvantages of a barcode
Expensive
Only used to input numbers

A barcode is scanned It is matched with the one in the system The price comes up on the screen One is deducted from te stock level A re order check is performed If it is an automatic order is placed The system is updtaed when the new order is delivered
Advantages of JIT
Smaller warehouse is needed
Easier to cope with couple small deliveries rather than one big one
Less chance of a product going out of date
Disadvantages of JIT
Expensive to introduce
Actual stock can differ due to theft and damage
Can’t cope with a sudden change in demand
More admin staff are needed
Electronic Funds Transfer Point Of Sale (EFTPOS)
Funds are automatically transferred from cystomer bank account to business’ bank account.
