TO PERMIT A DETECTION OF AN ENGINE OR AIRFRAME DE-ICE SYSTEM FAILURE
TO PERMIT A DETECTION OF AIRFRAME DE-ICE SYSTEM FAILURE
BOTH, AIRFRAME AND ENGINE DE-ICING SELECTED ON, THEY ARE:
DE-ICED SEQUENTIALLY
DE-ICING LIGHT ILLUMINATES ON MEMO PANEL WHEN:
AIRFRAME DE-ICING IS SELECTED ON
MODE SEL AUTO IN “MAN” ON THE DE-ICING PANEL, WHEN SHOULD THE “MODE SEL PB” BE

AIRCRAFT IN FLIGHT, IF THE “AAS” SYSTEM DETECTS ICE, “AOA” GREEN LIGHT IS
ILLUMINATED:
THE AMBER ICING LIGHT ILLUMINATES STEADY, MASTER CAUTION AND SINGLE CHIME
AIRCRAFT IN FLIGHT, WE NOTICE THE BLUE LIGHT “DE-ICING” FLASHES ON MEMO PANEL:
THE AIRFRAME DE-ICING SYSTEM IS STILL “ON” FIVE MINUTES AFTER THE LAST ICE
ACCRETION IS DETECTED BY THE AAS SYSTEM
DE-ICING OVERRIDE “PB” IN “OVRD” POSITION:
BYPASSES THE MFC MODULES LOGIC AND A TIMING CYCLE OF 60 SEC IS SELECTED

ATTACK PROBES (2), PLUS TAT (TOTAL AIR TEMPERATURE) PROBES (2) IN FLIGHT ONLY
PROBES HEATING AND WINDSHIELD HEATING PB “ON” IN HOTEL MODE OPERATION:
STATIC PORTS AND STBY PITOT ARE HEATED
YOU CAN USE WINDSHIELD WIPERS:
BELOW 160 KTS
