-Smart Forms (online) are now required in addition, employers must print out the documents and store within compliance
stored:
- either 3yrs after hire date or 1yr after termination
- separate from personal EE files and in a locked cabinet
penalties:
- not updating: $216 to $2,160 for EACH form (1st offense)
- knowingly hiring illegals: $540 to $4,300 for EACH (1st offense)
