-prednisolone preferred to hydrocortisone and budenoside (SE)
(Oral or topical - rectally)

- local effect on colonic mucose - Rx for IBD
- mild to moderate ulcerative colitis and Chrohn’s colitis
- reduces relapse from 70% to 20%
