L or R ENG FIRE or SEVERE ENGINE DAMAGE (FLIGHT)
At safe altitude, affected engine:
(1) Thrust lever….. CONFIRM and IDLE
(2) Thrust lever….. CONFIRM and SHUT OFF
(3) ENGINE FIRE PUSH….. CONFIRM and SELECT
(4) FUEL, BOOST PUMP….. CONFIRM and SELECT OFF
After 10 seconds L or R ENG FIRE warning message persists:
(5) Affected engine BOTTLE….. SELECT
Push and hold until firex bottle light goes out
After another 30 seconds L or R ENG FIRE warning message persists:
(6) Other engine BOTTLE….. SELECT
Push and hold until firex bottle light goes out
Double Engine Failure
(1) IGNITION, CONT…..ON
(2) Airspeed….. NOT LESS THAN 240 KIAS
L or R REV UNLOCKED
(1) Affected thrust lever….. CONFIRM and IDLE
(2) Affected THRUST REVERSER, EMER STOW….. SELECT
UNCOMMANDED ACCELERATION / ENGINE OVERSPEED
(1) Affected thrust lever….. CONFIRM and IDLE
Check engine response
L or R JETPIPE OVHT
(1)Affected thrust lever….. CONFIRM AND RETARD
slowly until warning message goes out
APU FIRE
(1) APU FIRE PUSH….. SELECT
After 5 seconds and fire warning persists:
(2) APU BOTTLE….. SELECT
Smoke / Fire / Fumes Procedure
(1) Oxygen masks / smoke goggles….. ON, 100%
(2) Crew and cabin communication….. ESTABLISH
CABIN ALT (Warning Message)
-or-
Emergency Descent Procedure
(1) Oxygen masks….. DON, SET TO 100%
(2) Crew communications….. ESTABLISH
(3) NO Smoking and SEAT BELT signs…..ON
(4) Descent….. INITIATE
to 10,000 feet MSL or lowest safe altitude, whichever is higher
(5) Thrust levers….. IDLE
(6) Flight spoilers….. DEPLOY
Unreliable Airspeed In-flight
(1) Autopilot….. DISENGAGE
(2) FDs….. DESELECT
(3) Use standby attitude indicator/ISI.
Initial takeoff climb or go-around is required:
(4) Pitch/N1….. 10 degrees/TOGA
From S.L to
15000 ft: 5 degrees
/CLB above 15000 ft.
(5) Aircraft Configuration….. At clean up altitude
Gear UP/Flaps 0
(6) Airplane Altitude….. Maintain lowest safe
altitude or higher
CAUTION
Respect stall warning/stick shaker
Aileron System Jammed
(1) Autopilot….. DISENGAGE
(2) Aileron controls (both)….. RELEASE pressure
(3) ROLL DISC….. PULL and TURN to lock
(4) Airplane control….. TRANSFER to pilot with
operative aileron
Elevator System Jammed
(1) Autopilot….. DISENGAGE
(2) Elevator controls (both)….. RELEASE differential pressure
(3) PITCH DISC….. PULL and TURN to lock
(4) Airplane control….. TRANSFER to pilot with
operative elevator
Rudder System Jammed
(1) YAW DAMPER, DISC….. SELECT
(2) Rudder pedals….. OVERPOWER
Stabilizer Trim Runaway
(1) Control wheel….. Assume manual control
and override runaway
(2) Both STAB TRIM
DISC switches….. PRESS, HOLD, & RELEASE
Uncommanded Yaw Motion
(1) Controls….. Assume manual control and
counter aircraft motion
using control yoke inputs
(2) YAW DAMPER, DISC….. SELECT to disconnect
both yaw dampers
Autopilot Fails to Disengage
Autopilot fails to disengage when using the AP/SP DISC switch on the control wheel:
(1) Autopilot….. Disengage using AP DISC switch on
FCP or other AP/SP DISC switch
(2) Airplane….. Trim manually using stab trim
