I have stage 4 Cancer Flashcards
What is the definition of
Potable
Pure
Impure
Potable- Safe to drink
Pure- No excess other chemicals except Hydrogen and oxygen
Impure-contains other elements that makes the water impure
How to purify Water
There are two ways of purifying water this is by removing soluble solutions which involves filtering out the substances through filtration or they can be rocked by distillation which boils the water to 100°C which allows the steam to escape from the substances that do not have the same boiling point and leave a filtrate of pure water.
What does it mean by Re-Use, Reduce and Recycle
Re-use- Being able to use an object over and over again
Reduce- amount a resource can be used to stop the environmental effect
Recycle- when a object is used it can be recycled and used in another object
Finite and renewable resources examples
Renewable: Solar Power, Cotton, Ethanol form Fermentation, Wood, Leather
Finite: Oil, Coal, Metals e.g Copper, Nuclear fuels and Natural gas
Define Finite and Renewbale
Finite- A resource that will eventually run out due to the amount of times it has been used
Renewable- A resource that can be used over and over again or it replenishes itself
Define
Global Dimming
Incomplete Combustion
Globally Dimming
The decrease amount of solar radiation reaching the surface of the earth
Incomplete Combustion
Will occur when there is not enough oxygen supplied and will always have an outcome of Carbon Dioxide and Water.
Carbon Footprint
The carbon footprint is the mark we leave behind where we use oil, factories but the more you use them the larger the carbon footprint you possess but the less you use objects that require energy the smaller the carbon footprint.
Equation for photosynthesis
6CO2 + 6H2O –> C6H12O6 + 6O2
Main contributors to Acid rain
Nitrous Oxide and Sulfur Dioxide
What is the atmosphere made up of
Nitrogen, Oxygen, Carbon Dioxide, Ammonia, Water Vapour
Consequences of Climate changes
More Hurricanes, Less Droughts, Farmers grow different crops, Sea levels rise, Ice caps Melt, More species become extinct
Carbon neutral
When a place has decided to not burn or use any fossil fuels for a source of energy and uses renewable energy
Finite resource
Renewable resource
A finite resource is a resource that will eventually run out and not be able to be used.
A renewable resource is a resource that can be used over and over again which will not run out and don’t have an impact on the environment.
What is the equation for gravitational field strength
GPE= Mass x Height x Gravitational friend strength
Magnetic Flux density
Force = Magnetic Flux density x Current x Length
