In short, JCS entains the last 7 days of Jesus’s life, seen through Judas. Judas fears that as a result of Christ’s “cult”, that he may become the Messiah, and by the end of the show has committed suicide.
What is Mary Magdalen’s relevance to the plot? (explain IDKHTLM)
Mary is a woman that Jesus meets, who turns out to be a prostitute, to whom he treats with such respect that she is surprised by it.
IDKHTLM is about Mary realising that she’s never loved a man before, as men have only ever treated her like a sex doll at best. She loves Jesus, as he is kind and caring towards her, even though in his eyes she is a sinner. By the end of the song, she has given up lust and sin, and has turned to purity in Christ.
