Levothyroxine w/ enzyme inducers to increase thyroxine metabolism and utilise the thyroxine

MAKE SURE LEVOTHYROXINE IS TITRATED TO THE RIGHT AMOUNT SO THAT TSH IS NOT SUPPRESSED

A

myxoedema coma» hypothermia, hypoglycaemia, bradycardia, coma, heart failure

A

There are anti TSH and TPO Abs that stop the production & release of T4/T3 and cause hypothyroidism

A

There is swelling of the neck due to a goitre» the thyroid is swollen due to the antibodies attacking
