Q

When giving beta blockers in pt with thyroid strom:

A
  1. In normal pt, if tachycardia, compromise cardiac output, leading to APO, to give beta blocker is logical.
  2. However, for pt with cardiomyopathy, adrenergic drive is essential to keep thw heart going. Beta blocker will kill the pt. (To used the short T1/2 , short acting beta blockers)
