A patient comes the clinic with complaints of headaches, blurred vision, and seeing yellow spots in front of his eyes? Which disease process are these symptoms associated with? Which is the next course of action for the nurse.

A

Hypertension, which is characterized as high blood pressure. Check the patient’s blood pressure and report findings to the PCP.

Noted: The patient may have high blood pressure which needs to be evaluated by the PCP.

The BP range for adults age 18-35 is 90/60 to 135/80. And normal BP for adults over age 45 is 90/60 to 140/90.
