- female
- Low BMI
- Asian descent
- CYP mutations
- high level of physical activity
- severe CKD
- dietary effects (excessive grapefruit ⇒ induce CYP), excess alcohol, drug abuse
- acute infection
- hypothyroidism
- surgery w/ high metabolic demands –> consider w/holding statins beffore major surgery

A
Creatine Kinase > 40x ULN,
renal impairment,
± myoglobinuria
kidney damage due to leakage of myoglobin & other metabolites
