S/s to watch with statins
Jaundice–> drug induced Hep–> draw LFT’s,
muscle pain–> rabdomy check CK level.
* if you do not stop statin watch for acute renal failure.
What statin should we use if the pt has an elevated CHOL and his father died from an MI at age 45?
high intensity b/c high risk of cardiovascular event
