What are the down sides of oxidizing disinfectants?
Bleach is very sensitive to soil, hydrogen peroxide is degrated by catalase

Cause membrane leakage
What is the mechanism of aldehydes?
disturbance of the cell and wall leakage
What is the mechanism of phenols?
Disturb enzyme activities
What is the mechanism of quats?
change permeability of cell membrane. Gram (-) develop resistance.
