Rules of hydrotherapy

A
Thorough case history 
Check for contraindications
Adapt method to client
Have client use bathroom
Stay with client while treatment
Explain complete treatment
Room should be draft free, clean, quiet
Keep client from getting chilled
When applying cold - make it as cold as possible
Warm temps should be as warm as necessary
More is not better
So client questions during treatment 
Check on comfort level
Check pulse periodically
Watch for signs of discomfort or negative reactions 
Stop treatment if reaction occurs
Keep cold treatments short 
Apply cold compress to back of head during hot treatments
