Hydraulics Flashcards
What does the hydraulic system (SYS FAULT) light indicate? (2 Lows and a high)
- low hydraulic system pressure
- low hydraulic reservoir quantity
- high hydraulic fluid temperature
What does a Hydraulic demand pump low pressure light indicate?
- demand pump selector positioned to OFF or AUX
- demand pump output pressure is low
When will the demand pumps be commanded to operate if the hydraulic demand pump selector is in the AUTO position?
- Engine Driven Pump (EDP) output pressure is low
- fuel control switch in cutoff
1 & 4 operate when:
On Ground - trailing edge flaps in transit
In Flight - flaps extended past 1
On GE - 400 aircraft which demand pumps are air driven, and which ones are electric motor driven ?
1 & 4 - air driven
2 & 3 - electric driven
On N480MC / N445MC / N446MC which demand pumps are air driven, which are electric motor driven?
No electric driven demand pumps exist.
What does the magenta “RF” displayed text mean when next to a hydraulic quantity indicator mean?
Reservoir requires refill ( only displays no ground)
What is the purpose of the auxiliary pump?
Used for ground handling operations.
When is the engine driven pump pressurized?
- Engine is running
- engine pump switch is ON
What does a hydraulic reservoir quantity indication of .95 mean ?
95% of normal service level (1.0
What degraded or inoperative system can you expect from a loss of hydraulic system 1?
- center autopilot inop
- left outboard elevator
- inboard trailing edge flap (moves in secondary mode)
- nose and body gear hydraulic extension and retraction
- nose and body gear steering
- system 1 alternate brake source inop
What degraded or inoperative system can you expect from a loss of hydraulic system 4?
- Right outboard elevator inop
- outboard trailing edge flap hydraulic operation inop (secondary mode)
-two inboard spoiler panels on each wing inop - wing gear hydraulic extension and retraction inop
- system 4 normal brake source inop
- autobrake inop
