Hydraulic system Flashcards
What would cause a Demand Pump FAULT light to illuminate?
(FCOM 13.10.2)
- Low pressure
- High temperature
- Demand pump is selected OFF
What will activate a hydraulic demand pump if the selector is in AUTO?
(FCOM 13.20.1, 13.20.2, 13.20.3)
- Left and Right=Operate for takeoff, landing, and when system or primary pump pressure is low
- C1 and C2 Pumps=Low pressure or high demand anticipated
What components are powered by the right hydraulic system?
(FCOM 9.20.4, 13.20.4)
- Flight controls (Flaperons, 1 outboard and 1 inboard spoiler per side)
- Right thrust reverser
- Normal brakes
What components will be affected by the loss of center hydraulic system quantity?
(FCOM 9.20.4, 13.20.2)
- Flight controls (Outermost outboard spoiler, Innermost inboard spoiler)
- Trailing edge flaps/Leading edge slats
- Alternate brakes
- Gear retraction/extension
- Nose gear/main gear steering
How will having a single ground power source affect the Center PRIMARY pumps?
(FCOM 13.20.2)
C2 pump will not run if the C1 pump is selected. The pump will not be load shed if one IDG is operating or the following sources are operating:
1. Primary external power & secondary external power, or
2. APU generator and primary external power.
In flight, what does RF indicate on the STATUS display?
(FCOM 13.10.3)
Inhibited inflight, but it means refill hydraulic reservoir on the ground.
How are the hydraulic demand pumps driven?
(FCOM 13.20.1, 13.20.2)
- L & R - Electric
- C1 & C2- Air
What hydraulic components does the RAT provide power to?
(FCOM 13.20.3)
Only to the primary flight control components connected to the Center hydraulic system.
What would cause the RAT to deploy automatically in flight?
(FCOM 13.20.3)
- Both engines are failed and the center system pressure is low, OR
- Both AC transfer busses are unpowered, OR
- All three hydraulic system pressures are low
How can the RAT be stowed if it has been deployed in flight?
(FCOM 13.20.3)
It cannot be stowed in flight.
