Chapter 2 :

A

Utterson tells Hyde about their acquaintance to which Hyde responds ‘he never told you,’ cried Mr Hyde, with a flush of anger. The word ‘cried’ and phrase ‘flush of anger’ tell us Hyde is very immotive and react strongly to such a little thing. Volatile character who doesn’t keep keep his emotions in check, this contrasts with Uttersons character and presents Hyde as uncivilised. He is arrogant and hotheaded because he feels superior to Utterson.
