A sensation in response to the body’s biological requirement of food for survival

a conditioned response involving the want for food, meaning someone can have an appetite without experiencing hunger

how rapidly a carbohydrate is digested and absorbed into the bloodstream

low levels of satiety

the process of breaking something down in a chemical reaction by adding water to break the links that bond molecules together

the term used to describe how enzymes and water assist in the chemical digestion process

probiotics are live, beneficial bacteria, or foods containing live bacteria
