What is an aquifer?
Underground layer of water bearing rock where ground water can be extracted.

Because it’s apart of their culture and because it gives them food.
Is fresh water an unlimited resource?
Yes,because of rain.
How do we access groundwater?
By digging a well
Define water scarcity, why do some people experience water scarcity?
Lack of available water. In some places there might be low rainfall leading to lack of water.
Define “water rich”
When a country has access to clean and safe drinking water.
Define “perpetual resource” and list two examples.
Infinite and not running out. Some examples are oxygen and sunlight.
What are some similarities between groundwater and aquifer?
Groundwater is stored in aquifers.
Why is a dam good and bad?
A large dam can provide water and electricity. But can also cause habitat destruction.

Lack of available water.
Define “renewable resource”
Something that can be regrown or reused.
Define “replenish”
To restock or top up
Define “perpetual”
Infinite or to never run out.
