Approach of psychology that emphasises the importance of subjective experiences

The desire to psychologically have fulfilled one’s full potential

The self concept and ideal self are seen to broadly match

Placing limits or boundaries on love for a child “I will only love you if…”

Only applies to individualistic cultures as Eastern cultures focus on the importance of the group
What is Rogerian “client centred therapy”
Client is given unconditional support and understanding from their therapist to help cope with everyday life
