Define humanism
A
Humanistic psychology places central and overriding importance on the unique aspects of individual human experience. It values the subjective feelings and conscious thoughts of the person.

What are the 3 assumptions of humanism?
A
- Each person can exercise free will and has control over what they think, feel and how they behave.
- Each person is rational and a conscious being and is not determined by unconscious and primitive instincts.
- A person’s subjective view and experience of the world is of greater importance to understanding the person than objective reality.
