Name the Millenium goals
Eradicate poverty, universal education, gender equality, reduce child mortality, improve maternal health, combat disease, ensure environmental sustainability and global partnership.
When were the MDG’s created
In 2000 at the Millenium Summit in New York by 189 leaders. The deadline is 2015.
The dignity of the human person
We treat others with great respect and fairness because God made them too.
Preferential option for the poor
Help everyone because each person needs each other. That is why it is important to help others.
Rights and responsibilities
Everyone should have food, work, clothes, home, school and medical care. W must help our sisters and brothers obtain these standard needs. We must see that everyone receive their rights
Stewardship
Earth is the only place we can live so we must cherish this gift from God.
An option for the poor and vulnerable
Everyone needs standard living so we must share if we are not poor.
Rights of workers/ participation
Everyone deserves safe conditions, fair wages and reasonable hours.
Solidarity
The world’s people are independent and although we may be different we need to become the best we can be and build a community.
Innocent until proven guilty human rights
We must have evidence to be proven guilty
The right to democracy
Democracy allows us to choose a party that we believe should represent our country and rights and not have a fascist government

We are allowed to live in safety
The right to privacy
We are our own person and we need to have our rights to privacy.
No torture
We should treat everyone with respect and torture is not a fair and decent punishment
