What is remuneration
The combination of pay and fringe benefits that employees receive
What is job enrichment
Employees are given greater responsibility and control over their work. They are told what needs to be achieved but they decide how to do it
What is job enlargement
Employees are given a larger number of tasks in order to provide more variety
What is job rotation
Allowing employees to swap roles and complete each other’s tasks
What is the equality act 2010
- No discrimination on the grounds of gender, race, age or disability
- This includes recruitment, pay, training, promotion and dismissal
What is a trade union
An organisation which represents workers and protects their rights through collective bargaining
What is collective bargaining
The process where the trade union representatives negotiate on behalf of their members
What are the main examples of industrial action
- Strike
- Work to rule
- Go Slow
- Non-cooperation
- Overtime ban
