Vagina
The canal or passageway in the female body between the uterus arms vula; receives the penis during sexual intercourse; the birth canal
Ovum
Reproductive cell found in the ovary
Fallopian tube
Tube through which the egg passes from either ovary to the uterus; normally the place where egg and sperm unite ✊
Epididymis
The tiny, coiled tube connecting the testicles with the sperm duct; as sperm mature they move from the testicles through these tubes
Bladder
Sac in the pelvic region in which urine is stored until elimination
Conception
Penetration of the ovum (female egg cell) by a sperm, resulting in the beginning of new human life.

Ovaries
The two female sex organs found on either side of the uterus, in which the ova (egg cells) are formed; they produce hormones which influence female body characteristics
Menstruation
The discharge of blood from the uterus through he vagina; this menstrual “period” usually occurs in women every twenty-eight to thirty days between puberty and menopause
Penis
Male sex organ through which urine is passed and through which semen ejaculated at orgasm
Scrotum
The sac of skin containing the testicles, which is located between the male’s legs

Vas deferens
The duct that conveys sperm from the testicle to the urethra
Impotence
A type of male sexual dysfunction consisting of the inability to achieve or maintain erection of the penis, thus causing the inability to have sexual intercourse
Prostate
The male gland which surrounds the urethra and neck of the bladder and secretes part of the seminal fluid
Menopause
The end of menstruation in women, usually between the ages of forty-five and fifty-five.
Uterus
The small, muscular pear-shaped female organ in which the fetus develops; it has the ability to expand and accommodate the growing child/children
Testicles
One of the two male reproductive glands that produce sperm; they are suspended within a sac of skin between the legs
Clitoris
The small, highly sensitive female organ located just above the urethra; the center of sexual pleasure in women
Rectum
Lower end of the large intestine, ending at the anus
Urethra
Duct or tube through which urine passes from the bladder and is eliminated from the body
Seminal vesicles
Two storage pouches for sperm; located within the body on either side of the prostate
Puberty
The period of time of rapid development that marks the end of childhood, during which the sex organs mature and begin to produce ova or sperm
Anus
The opening at the base of the buttocks through which solid waste is eliminated from the intestines
Cervix
Narrow, lower part of the uterus which opens into the vagina
